60,000 strong for working families!

60,000 people are in my city right now to stand up for what they believe in. Collective bargaining for our public employees is vital for so many reasons. Wisconsin has long attracted the best and brightest educators and our graduation rates and SAT/ACT scores prove that our children benefit from having the best teachers. Who in Hades is going to want to come to WI to work when our Governor treats his constituents like this? Everyone loses.

Someone that you know will be affected. Teachers, professors, doctors, nurses, garbage men, administrative staff, snow plow drivers, museum workers, lawyers, librarians, food service workers, bus drivers, security guards, 911 operators and so many more will be affected.

Our state will lose more federal money too. The federal government will not subsidize our public transportation (buses) unless those workers have collective bargaining rights. For Madison alone, that's $45 million.

I could go on and on, but I won't. Everything that needs to be said has already been said. I'm proud of the people of my state.
