Saturday night's alright

Bunky's interior. It's so ecclectic!
Tonight is date night. You must understand that we are not the type of couple that schedules date nights and sex nights and all of that crap. Ashley is going to be staying at a friend's house and we have both been very stressed this week, so we decided to go out. Normally going out for us is a few hours at the Union or dinner and a bookstore visit or a movie. Tonight, however, we are having a nice sit down dinner at Bunky's and then walking to the Willy Street fair to listen to some local music. It's been a long time since we went somewhere that we felt we needed to dress up for, not that Bunky's is super chic, but it's a nice place.

This morning, we picked up Ashley's BFF and went down to the Farmers market. We got cheese curds, onions, garlic, eggplant, cilantro, peppers, tomatoes, bagels, apples, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, carrots, turnips, lettuce and respberries. It was a good haul. I love that my child know the martket layout by heart. She knows the names of the stands, what they sell and how the prices compare to other vendors. Her friend wanted to get some cheese and Ashley Matter of factly told her that Farmer Johns has the freshest cheese curds, but Brunkow is the place to go for speadable cheese. She is an odd child, there is no doubt there.

I have to go shower and maybe even put on a touch of makeup for my date tonight. I haven't even opened my mascara in a year or so, I hope it is still good.
