Long lines at the grocery store

Ashley and I were at the grocery store the other day and the lines were crazy. There were only two registers open at the time we joined the line, but as we were waiting, two other registers opened up. The cashiers called out that they were open and the people from the end of the other lines actually ran to be first to the newly opened registers. These were the people who had been waiting the least amount of time to check out. I looked at Ashley and was about to open my mouth when she said, "I know, If that happens to me, I should offer the spot to the person who has been waiting the longest."

Don't you love it when your kids know the right thing to do, even when other adults don't?
